Update on Atlantic Canadians Playing College Ball

Here is my first update to how Atlantic Canadians playing college baseball are doing during the 2016 season:

Banks, Tanner – outfielder – Jamestown College
Banks has only played five games for the 26-1 Jimmies.  In these games he has gone 1-10 (.100) with the one hit being a double.  He has also walked once and stole two bases.

Beaudreau, Mitchell – catcher – Newman University
Beaudreau is batting .239 with 9 RBI and 1 home run.  He is slugging .324 with an OBP of .333 with the 16-8 Jets.  He has reached base in 9 out his last 11 games.  Beaudreau is wearing #1.

Borden, Jesse – pitcher – Midland College
Borden is sporting a 1-0 record with and ERA of 4.32 with the 11-11 Chaparrals.  He has allowed 9 hits and struck out 8 batters in his 8.1 innings pitched.  Borden is wearing #22.

Comeau, Evan – infielder – Arkansas – Monticello
Comeau is wearing #5 for the 16-7 Boll Weevils this season.  He is batting .260, with 14 RBI and a home run.  He has also hit two doubles and a triple with a SLG of .356 and OBP of .486.  Comeau has also stolen a base.

Cook, Jake – pitcher – Minot State
Cook, #34, has yet to play this season with the 3-10 Beavers.

Gallagher, Blake – infielder – Arkansas – Monticello
Gallagher has yet to play this season for the Boll Weevils.

Hazlett, Mitchell – catcher – Western Texas College
Hazlett is currently enjoying a six game hitting streak for the 4-19 Westerners.  Hazlett is batting .333 with 10 RBI and 2 HR.  He has also stolen 3 bases.  He wears #13.

MacLean, Cole – catcher – Colby Community College
MacLean is wearing #25 for the 18-9 Trojans.  He is batting .280 with 12 RBI and one home run.  Maclean also has four doubles on the season.

O’Rourke, Reilly – pitcher – Garden City College
O’Rourke has an ERA of 5.23 with a 1-0 record.  He also has 13 strikeouts in 10.1 innings pitched.  He wears #37 for the 23-6 Busters.

Shaw, Jake – pitcher – University of Indy
Shaw, who transferred from Northern Kentucky has a 2-2 record with an ERA of 3.97 in five starts this season.  Shaw has 39 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched, he has also pitched two complete games.  Shaw wears #16 for the 13-5 Greyhounds.

Stevenson, J.P. – pitcher – Canisius College
Stevenson has a record of 1-4 and 5.25 ERA in four starts this season.  He has recorded 25 strikeouts in 24 innings.  Stevenson wears #32 for the 6-13 Golden Griffins.

Thibault. Zach – infielder – Cabrillo College
Thibault is listed as #3 on the 14-8 Seahawks.  In 21 games, he is batting .200 with 5 RBI and five runs scored.

Thibideau, Chris – infielder – North Florida
The one time Padres draft pick has played every game for the 14-10 Ospreys.  Thibideau is batting .314 with 8 RBI and two home runs.  He is slugging .465 with and OBP of .392.  Thibideau also has seven doubles and two steals.  He wears #5.

Whynot, Jamie – first baseman – Delaware Tech – Owens
Whynot is wearing #29 for the 6-7 Roadrunners.  Unable to find any individual stats for this team.

Wood, Corey – outfielder/pitcher – Arkansas-Monticello
Wood has yet to pitch this season but is doing well at the plate.  He is batting .349 with 28 RBI and nine home runs.  Wood has also hit nine doubles and two triples.  He is slugging .831 and has an OBP of .429.  Wood has stolen eight bases, and has yet to be caught stealing.  Wood wears #12 for the Boll Weevils.
